ABB 2026 PRICING UPDATE: WHAT INDUSTRIAL BUYERS SHOULD KNOW

A new ABB China notice outlines revised pricing for selected smart power and building automation products as component and supply-chain costs remain under pressure.

PRICE CHANGE AT A GLANCE

ABB China has advised customers of a general 3%–5% adjustment for selected products within its Smart Power and Smart Buildings portfolios. The updated prices are scheduled to apply from August 26, 2026, while the final adjustment for an individual item depends on its product category and the latest applicable price list.

WHY PRICES ARE BEING REVISED

The company cites higher prices for some essential electronic components, constrained upstream availability and rising production and logistics costs. These pressures are particularly relevant to electrical distribution, protection, control and intelligent-building equipment, where component availability and compliance requirements can directly influence manufacturing cost.

ABB also notes its continuing efforts in procurement, inventory management and supply-chain operations to support stable delivery and consistent product quality. The adjustment follows an assessment of the cost environment across the affected portfolios.

ACTION FOR PROJECT TEAMS

Engineering contractors and industrial buyers should check open quotations, validate model-specific availability and update project budgets where required. For orders created before the effective date, the notice indicates that the original pricing and normal delivery arrangements will continue to apply. New orders generated from August 26 will use the revised pricing.

Because the percentage is not identical across every model, purchasing decisions should be based on a current written quotation rather than a portfolio-wide estimate.
